CDEC Was Awarded Annual Excellent Cooperative Enterprise of Sichuan International Aero Engine Maintenance Co., LTD
On March 22, 2018, Sichuan International Aeroengine Bonded Maintenance Project (phase 1), which our company undertook the supervision task, held a formal operation report meeting of the new plant in Chengdu Hi-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone. French Ambassador to China, US Consul General in Chengdu, French Consul General in Chengdu, CEO of Safran Aircraft Engines, Vice President of Air China Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Sichuan International Aviation Engine Maintenance Co., Ltd. (SSAMC), Deputy Director of Southwest Civil Aviation Administration, and Relevant leaders from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce and other provinces and cities attended the report. Luo Jie, deputy general manager of the project management branch, and Tang Kunbing, project director, were invited to attend the meeting.
(SSAMC) was formally established in 2010 as a joint company between Air China and International Engine Corporation (CFM) respectively and the first Sino-foreign joint MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operation) enterprise of CFM worldwide. SSAMC Sichuan International Aeroengine Bonded maintenance Project (phase 1) covers an area about 73,840 square meters, with a construction area of 43,880 square meters and a total investment of about 360 million yuan. It is the first aeroengine bonded maintenance base in Sichuan. The project is designed and built in accordance with the industry’s first-class modern plant layout standards. After the plant is officially put into operation, the number of CFM56 and LEAP engines that will be repaired and overhauled annually will reach 300 units, which is comparable to the world's advanced level and will become the largest CFM engine repair plant in Asia.
During the report, SSAMC commended the participating units of the project. Chai Weixi, chairman of CDEC, said the whole construction project is of good quality, ahead of schedule and cost saving. Our company’s participation in the supervision work won unanimous recognition and praise from all shareholders of the project and was specially named “2016-2017 Excellent Cooperative Enterprise”, which demonstrated CDEC’s high level of comprehensive Grade A construction supervision qualifications. Tang Kunbing, the chief engineer of the project, was awarded the Excellent Work Award.
